HIGHLIGHTS OF SEOUL with UNESCO WORLD HERITAGES tour gives you the chance of visiting 3 different UNESCO WORLD HERITAGES in SEOUL.

Please understand that we will join guided tours at JONGMYO, CHANGDEOKGUNG PALACE (for SECRET GARDEN) because our own individual tour is not allowed.

JONGMYO is the royal shrine hosts the name tablets of kings and queens of JOSEON DYNASTY. The wide building with 20 number of gates has an atmosphere of solemnity and sacredness.

CHANGDEOKGUNG was the most favored palace of many kings of JOSEON. The buildings of CHANG-DEOK-GUNG blend with the natural topography. CHANGDEOKGUNG was the site of the royal court and the seat of government until 1868, when the neighboring GYEONGBOKGUNG was rebuilt. The garden called HUWON, or SECRET GARDEN incorporates a lotus pond, pavilions, and landscaped lawns, trees, and flowers.

SEONJEONGNEUNG has 3 of 42 royal tombs scattered around SEOUL. Out of 44, 42 royal tombs in SOUTH KOREA were added a unit of UNESCO WORLD HERITAGES. In the middle of GANGNAM, this heritage is surrounded by business buildings.  The owners of three tombs are KING SEONGJONG (regime 1469–1494), his second wife, Queen JEONGHYEON and KING JUNGJONG (the son of KING SEONG-JONG), the 11th king of JOSEON (regime 1506–1544)

Queen JEONGHYEON had a deep interest in Buddhism and founded the nearby temple BONGEUNSA. Therefore, we will visit this temple too.
